Micro RC Crawler Trailer 1:25/1:24
thingiverse
The trailer is designed from scratch using Tinkercad, with measurements taken directly from a 1:25 Proline Ambush model. The wheels and tires are modified versions of the ones found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:437669, with the spokes removed to create a larger hole for an axle. I have also narrowed them down to make them more versatile. I plan on making some additional improvements and adding accessories such as a toolbox and ramps before completing it. To achieve this, I left the design in progress. I am also planning to make it hinge back at the axle and lock it down with a pin. Edit: Pictures of a hitch that I came up with are added here. A piece from a broken slash front stub axle is used, which involves pushing the pin to remove the metal piece and screwing it into a turnbuckle rod end. The ball is then screwed into my truck's bumper so that the trailer can snap on and articulate well in all directions. Edit2: An updated hitch version 2 has been added, where a piece of the turnbuckle is screwed directly into the end. I have not tested this version yet, so if anyone does try it out, please comment with your results.
