<h1>My Miniature Quadcopters</h1><p><a href="https://youtu.be/NNmSKSIQRBE">Watch the video: https://youtu.be/NNmSKSIQRBE </a></p><p>Three designs of a mini quadrocopter for backyard racing and learning to fly. <p>The frame size is (rotor to rotor) 68 mm x 68 mm and 78 mm x 68 mm. The version 78x68 is easier to fly for beginners, but slightly heavier.</p><p>I designed these frames because I was tired of buying carbon frames, defective cameras or antennas and other spare parts after every crash. Although they are a bit less lightweight than carbon frames, the quads fly well and the frame is easy to print and replaceable.</p><p>The L3GO-Version is for my young daughters. They fly without camera but with their favorite characters Olivia and Emma from Lego Friends as pilot and passenger.</p><p>Some advantages over other designs I tried:</p><p>- The camera has a housing and is more protected in case of a crash.</p><p>- The frame top protects receiver and flight controller.</p><p>- The flight controller is held in place on the frame by small clips and does not have to be glued.</p><p>- Antenna guards lead the wires downwards and help protect the RX-antenna against getting caught in the rotors.</p><p>- The LED-Strip is fixed with screws (no lost rubber bands anymore).</p><p>- The LiPo can be mounted on the bottom or top.</p><p>- Enough space for a 9 mm extra load beeper.</p><p>The assembly is quite easy. See the pictures and video description.</p><p>For assembly, I designed a tool to press the motors into the frame. They must fit very tight otherwise they get loose. Put the motor in the tool and then press it into the frame with connectors downwards. Take care not to cut the cables.</p><p>What you need:</p><ul><li>4 x brushed micro motors 8.5 mm x 20 mm</li><li>1 x flight controller Eachine (with the receiver of your choice or without tx)</li><li>optional 1 x receiver separate</li><li>4 x props</li><li>1 x beeper 5 V</li><li>1 x AIO-Camera with VTX</li><li>1 x NEOpixel-Strip (with 4 LEDs)</li><li>4 x nylon bolts and nuts M3x20</li><li>2 x nylon bolts and nuts M3x5</li><li>5 x LiPo 1S 600 mAh</li></ul>All parts printed in PETG with 80 % infill without support.
