Micro Overflow
thingiverse
This is a compact overflow system designed specifically for small tanks equipped with drip systems. It efficiently handles moderate water flows without overloading smaller tanks. The design accommodates Aqueon tanks but will fit any standard aquarium, as long as it has the right connections. To set up this system, simply connect the tubing and use a turkey baster to push some water into the intake chamber; this primes the system quickly and easily. The overflow is optimized for 3/8" OD / 1/4" ID flexible tubing but can also handle standard airline tubing for the "over the wall" part. The design allows for a balanced input/output ratio, which may be aesthetically pleasing to some users. A "standard" version of this system keeps the water level at about halfway up the black rim, while an "elongated version" hangs approximately 10mm lower, suitable for those who prefer a lower water level or have tanks that are not perfectly level. This is the first published version of the design, and it features stronger teeth on the intake chamber, a standoff at the bottom, ridges along the top hanger for added strength, and internal standoffs to prevent the tubing from sagging and restricting flow.
