This collection contains STL and STEP files to print your own miniature mini-nuke at home. The nuke stands 1.6'' tall (40mm) and can be used as a tabletop decoration, a large bead, a keyring accessory, or a pendant. The design allows the model to assemble effortlessly without tools or glue and prints flawlessly with no supports, brim, or raft needed. Press-fit tolerances were thoroughly tested on a Prusa i3 MK2 printer using Hatchbox (PLA) and Solutech (ABS) filaments. Printing sliced models from Prusa Slic3r software resulted in seamless assembly on the Prusa i3 MK2. In contrast, Cura slicing followed by printing on a Creality Ender 3 led to inconsistent tolerances with these STL files. As an added resource, STEP files are available for tailoring print settings according to your unique printer. A PLA prototype is showcased in the provided image and was engineered to assemble and stay assembled through the interlocking layer lines. Conversely, ABS prototypes require little force for initial assembly but ultimately need acetone vapor smoothing to achieve a glossy finish, blend layers together seamlessly, and join model parts irreparably. Although testing revealed smooth finishes on black ABS prints, a colored ABS version remains untested due to limited experimentation time.
