Micro metal gearmotor mounting bracket M2
grabcad
My first model built in SolidWorks 2018. This variation on the micro metal gearmotor bracket is based on the Pololu one (they provide STEP models of the motors and brackets here https://www.pololu.com/product/989/resources ). This type encloses the gearbox, preventing dirt getting in. I designed this variation in native SolidWorks primitives while learning the CAD package. I needed one which was 26 mm wide (the Pololu part is 26.5 mm wide). I have 3D printed these without a raft on an Ultimaker 2+ using a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.06mm layer height, with the bracket oriented so the narrow edge is on the print bed (see Cura screenshots in gallery, one showing the supports). This one fits M2 screws and hex nuts. The nuts are a pretty snug fit so I push them into place by squeezing them in using a large pair of pliers.(Added a STEP file exported from Solidworks as GradCAD did not appear to be able to render a SW2018 file)
