Micro Kal v3
thingiverse
This ultra-lightweight 90mm frame is specifically designed for use with 8.5mm brushed motors. Originally intended to be crafted from a 1mm carbon fiber plate, I envision creating a video showcasing its construction soon. However, it can also be printed using ABS material, requiring a height of 2 or 3 mm to achieve optimal results. Printing with ABS allows for greater flexibility and a higher crash threshold compared to PLA. The motor mounts are precisely 8.5mm in diameter, ensuring a secure fit when paired with double-sided tape and inserted into the motor mounts (additional images will be provided). For those opting to have it fabricated from carbon fiber, use the included DXF file for precise ordering. Note the critical orientation of the fibers in the example image, as it significantly impacts the frame's rigidity due to the direction of the fibers.
