This custom base was designed with inspiration from a popular 3D printing model found on Thingiverse, specifically at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2301421. I decided to add a battery holder and mounting posts so that a small rubber band could securely attach the camera to the base, providing a fast and easy way to mount the device. With Christmas arriving just in time for my new camera and goggles, I needed something sturdy to hold everything together. The base is firmly attached to the car body using double-sided adhesive tape.
