Micro Engraver PrintRbot / Wade mount
thingiverse
The PrintRbot can accommodate Wade's extruder and features a laser module mounted on a snap-on piece to the fan mount. Simplification is needed, with a one-piece print design suggested by combining the mount with the fan mount. The current design consists of two flat surfaces meeting at a screw alignment point. A laser/resistor housing must be attached for the screws. It holds a $10 battery-operated engraver from Amazon or Harbor Freight onto a resistor heat casing, trapping the power switch in the 'on' position. The on/off function depends on turning the battery compartment door at the engraver's end. The 3mm filament secures the engraver while allowing mild strain relief due to its attachment to the extruder head. This setup can cut through paper and sign prints, though it doesn't offer deep cuts. The laser end cap is not required if a resistor housing is used instead. A Z end stop extender is needed (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30590), which holds other models (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30260, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30064, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30520, and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30999).
