Micro Digger
thingiverse
The Micro Digger, measuring 25 x 25 x 23 mm (1 x 1 x 0.9 in), features a functional arm and comes with two shovels - one standard and the other openable. This perfect match for a Dumper requires an excavator to play with after acquiring a Micro Dumper. The creator has also designed new pins called "flex pins" with a flexible clamping zone, replacing the previously disliked axis pins. STL files for these new pins are provided for better printing experience. For convenience, a plated version of the STL files is added as well. In case of difficulties in fitting the parts due to tightness, three new STLs have been added with bigger holes and slots. To print all parts, use 0.4mm wall thickness, 0.1mm layer, and 100% infill. Deburr each part after printing. Assembly involves snapping together the components, but adjustments may be needed based on PLA shrinkage and printer calibration. If some parts don't fit well, try increasing their scale during printing. Shovels can be challenging to print; a slow speed of 40mm/s at 195°C is recommended for optimal results. Customers may also choose to add paint to their Micro Digger before setting up their construction site.
