Micro Chamfer Plane

Micro Chamfer Plane

thingiverse

I needed a specialized chamfer plane that could access tight corners - this project delivered the goods! It works seamlessly on plastics such as HDPE. Thanks to the slot in the blade, you can adjust the depth of cut - it's even possible to use it as a compact block plane if you want to. The blade extends lower than the base at full length. To build one, you'll need a Swann-Morton No. 17 blade or an equivalent X-Acto #17, an M2.5 screw that's at least 5mm long, and an M2.5 nut. The print can lie on its side without requiring any supports.
