Micro catamaran rc
thingiverse
I designed this sailboat from scratch entirely on my own. The hulls may require painting with marine varnish to waterproof them, since the wall is only 1mm thick and can have pores. The servos are 3.8g. The sail servo gets partially submerged but I've had no issues with its operation. The sail is made of transparent kitchen wrap (the kind used for food packaging). First, glue one half, then the other, leaving the film in between. The battens and stays can be glued at the same time as the mast and film. You'll need a transmitter and receiver, but only two channels are required: one for the sail and the other for the rudder. The battery is a 500mAh or smaller LiPo.
