I've designed a compact mounting block specifically for the linked micro APM. The tab is dedicated to attaching a pin header for motor connections, and I've made space for a standard 3x5 pin header that's then secured with hot glue. The holes are precisely sized for M3 machine screws to self-tap easily, typically using steel screws first before adding a plastic screw to provide extra stability. To prevent any loosening over time, I recommend applying CA as a thread locker.
