Micro Adjustable Bare Wire Z End Stop
thingiverse
Create an inexpensive and adjustable micro-endstop for your reprap printer or any other machine by utilizing a bare-wire design or attaching a switch on top. Assemble the end stop using a spring, M3-30 screw, nut, and washer, which attaches to the Prusa end stop holder. The endstop provides fine adjustment of the Z stopping position with one full revolution equaling 0.5mm. OpenSCAD sources are available for customization, while basic "one penny" bare wire end stops can be found on Thingiverse. To install, print three parts and assemble the adjustable end stop using a base, knob, and cap. Wire it up by looping wires through holes, over the top, and tie them off at the sides. Install it by fastening a copper wire to the X end and ensuring contact between the end stop's wires. Clean wires with sandpaper as needed for maintenance.
