Called micpod, as in tripod. The micpod takes shape like a microphone in the area that fits into the microphone holder snugly. Place the micpod where a microphone should go to secure your camera in place effortlessly. So, a regular mic stand is fairly standard. It can only be adjusted up and down with ease. What's truly exciting, in my humble opinion, is when you use this micpod with a microphone boom stand that lets you position your camera exactly where you need it. For those unfamiliar with mic booms stands, they're what drummers use to sing their hearts out. The micpod gives you the freedom to place your camera on a stable mount wherever a tripod can't reach. Full-sized cameras are typically too heavy for most mic booms, but things that fall within the weight range of microphones work perfectly well. You could also read or watch your iPhone on the couch without having to hold it in your hands. The micpod lets you get up close and personal with your rapman while it's running, and you can even watch it from another room. Out of a baby's reach directly above the crib might be an entertaining idea as well.
