My husband and I had no choice but to bake our own wedding cake since he has a gluten intolerance (and we didn't want to shell out $500 for a small cake). Obviously, gluten-free cake recipes are hard to find and the tasty ones end up falling rather than rising in the oven. So, after placing the homemade fondant on top of the cake, the fondant looked less appealing with all the craters from the crumbling cake beneath it. My husband's brilliant idea (since our wedding was already a fairytale themed celebration) was to carve out Minnie faces and cover up the damaged areas around the cake. Rather than spending the remaining 12 hours before the big day carving out the faces with scissors or a knife, I rapidly designed and printed a "Fondant Stencil" in under half an hour!
