Michigan State Spartan S
pinshape
Being a student at MSU is an awesome experience and one of my favorite prints so far has been this one. The dimensions are impressive: 115mm x 89mm x 30mm. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, and I'll be the first to admit that I messed up in creating this print. Take a look at the image above - where the S ends in the bottom left corner, I accidentally made it 7mm shorter than the top end. But don't worry, I fixed this issue in the .stl file I've provided! So, no need to make any adjustments - just download, print, and enjoy! As a beginner in 3D printing, my settings may not be perfect (please share your tips with me!), but here's what worked for me: Layer height is set at 0.1mm, Print speed is 40mm/s, Printing temperature is 195°C, Bed temperature is 60°C, Platform adhesion type is Raft w/ 0.22mm air gap, Retraction speed is 50 mm/s, Retraction distance is 4.5mm, Initial layer thickness is 0.3mm, Travel speed is 70mm/s, Bottom layer speed is 15 mm/s, Infill speed is 70 mm/s, and Top/bottom speed is 30 mm/s. These settings seem pretty straightforward to me, but as a beginner in the 3D printing hobby, I want to help other new members print successfully!
