This coil form was designed specifically for classes held at the Dallas Makerspace where students learn to build a morse code radio transmitter based on the classic Michigan Mighty Mite circuit. Class materials are readily available online at https://dallasmakerspace.org/wiki/MichiganMightyMite#Michigan_Mighty_Mite_QRP_CW_.28Morse_Code.29_Transmitter. The coil form assumes 22 AWG enameled wire for the primary, tapped at 15 turns and totaling 45 turns, including the tap. Holes are strategically placed to secure the wire during starting, ending, and tapping processes. Ribs at the top and bottom of the form prevent wire unraveling when winding the coil. This design addresses common issues students faced while winding coils on 35mm film canisters.
