This scan is a result of Cosmo Wenman's skillful work, and I merely refined it to better suit my 3D printer. I'm sharing it here because it offers an ideal subject for 3D print contests. According to Mr. Wenman's website: This 3D capture was made from a marble resin cast directly molded from the Pietà. A label on the back of the cast clearly states: "This authorized facsimile copy was produced under Vatican Museums supervision, by the Reproduction Studio of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, using direct impression molds developed by the Department of Scientific Research of the Vatican Museums."
