This trap design effortlessly captures multiple mice with a single setup, featuring no moving parts and effortless assembly. Scale the feeder to 0.1mm and use at least 5 perimeters and 5 top layers in your slicer settings to prevent water from leaking out of the feeder. Estimated print time is 26 hours. Post-Printing Assembly: Buy cheap mesh wire for rabbits or garden, then reduce raster size by shifting multiple layers of mesh wire. Maximum raster opening must be smaller than 6mm or 1/4 inch. Plan a trap assembly ratio of 1.4 times the diameter of the lid height. Cut wire to desired length with some overlap and wrap it tightly around the lid and bottom plates using garden iron wire. Secure the lid and bottom to wire mesh using hot glue, filler glue, or a kit. Using water, test the feeder for leaks; when leaking occurs, cover the feeder with aluminum foil (tin foil) to retain water. How I Designed This FreeCAD design: I drew inspiration from well-known wasp traps and modified them for mice. The rodent can easily enter but cannot escape. The spacious trap features a feeder with two separate sections for food and water, making it suitable for year-round operation. It is kind to its captives, providing enough food and water capacity to last a week. With the integrated feeder, the trap remains operational while you're away on short holidays or weekends using FreeCAD design to ensure printability without support. I introduced fillets to make handling and cleaning easy.
