Mic Stand Holder for Phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 in case and others)
thingiverse
I needed to do some hands-free filming with my phone, so I created this device to hold it in place while filming. It was designed specifically for a Galaxy S7 inside an Incipio case, but you can adjust the model's dimensions before printing to make it work with your own phone as well. Currently, it has been confirmed to also work perfectly with a Pixel 2 and Galaxy S9, all encased in their respective covers. Suggestions: * Print only the first couple millimeters of layers just to get the shape of the claw, then stop the print and test it against your phone. If it doesn't fit right, adjust your print scale and try again. * Use at least three shells or outlines, preferably enough that the arms are made entirely of lines rather than infill. This will prevent them from cracking or breaking off with use. * Print with filaments that have some flexibility before they break, such as ABS, PET/PETG, and NinjaTek Armadillo, all of which have been tested and work great. * If you're printing with a less flexible, more crackable filament like PLA, try printing with your nozzle fan turned off. The design is made to print very easily, so the lack of fan can help increase layer adhesion and overall strength.
