I strive for neatness during my recording sessions for my Progressive-Rock-Band. Use cable ties to secure the clamp on the mic stand. One should suffice, but you can also use two if needed. I opted for the larger ones. The mic-stand diameter is 15mm. This setup works just as well with a larger diameter, up to 20mm. Have fun rocking out. Cheers, Beavis
