mic mod for bose qc35II

I recently acquired a brand new headset (Bose QC35II) to replace my previous one (Madcatz Freq7), which had just broken. I was thrilled with the purchase, except for one major issue - when using it for both listening and speaking, the audio quality significantly drops, accompanied by a distracting white noise. My friends on Discord also noticed that the microphone quality had decreased compared to my old headset. To resolve this problem, I decided to reuse the old mic from my broken headset. To do so, I repurposed an old 3.5mm male jack cable and soldered it to a female 3.5mm jack, allowing me to plug in the mic seamlessly. Next, I designed a custom part on Fusion 360 that would snap onto the new headphones, securely holding the jack adapter in place while also accommodating the mic as before. Although this project adds an extra cable to my Bluetooth headset, it's easily removable when needed - I can still use it with my phone or switch to wireless mode. Of course, one could always purchase a dedicated mic that achieves similar results, but where's the fun in that? Please forgive the somewhat sloppy soldering job and the zip tie holding everything together; I had to work quickly under pressure. For those interested in learning more about improving audio quality on Bluetooth headsets by disabling the microphone, check out this YouTube video. Using this method combined with my mod, I've managed to enhance the mic's sound quality and maintain optimal audio performance at all times.
