Mic holder for pole mount

Update 12/12/18 The original design has proven to work exactly as intended, so I've now added a section for a laser pointer. It's still not fully refined yet since this is just a quick fix, but if it works out, I'll edit it properly. Initially, the model printed in PLA worked fine, but I intend to print it with either PET-G or ABS because my coworkers can be a bit rough, and those materials might hold up better. Unfortunately, there are no photos of it printed or mounted yet since I haven't had time to print it yet; that won't happen until after the holiday break as there's too much to print before then. Correct model uploaded this time! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a remix / remodel of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2254860. At work, we need to accurately measure sound output from fire system speakers and sounders using an expensive system. We've been using two metal test tube holders to hold the microphone to the pole for years, but that's not ideal. I got frustrated with this setup after five years of use and thought there must be something on Thingiverse to solve the problem. That's when I found the above item designed for laser pointers, which just so happen to be about the same size as our microphones. Here's a remix of that design to mount it to the pole we use. This is version Mk1 1. Once this design has been proven to work correctly, I plan to add a holder for a laser pointer below it (unless someone else beats me to it!). I'm attaching the f3d file so others can remix or modify as needed. I'll update this post whenever the design gets modified.
