Fun prop build of the MiB J2 pistol as seen in Men In Black's 1997 hit film.\n1:1 scale model features multiple parts designed to accommodate a spring loaded trigger, with plans to add electronics at a later time.\nPrinted on my Flash Forge Creator Pro with PLA and Ninja Flex grips that provide a comfortable fit.\nAll parts are carefully arranged to optimize the printer's performance, so some adjustment may be necessary.\nPrint speeds varied between 30 and 50mms, with slower settings used for more complex components like gun halves and grips.\nAdditional parts not printed include a spring, three screws with nuts, and a small set screw, which were all sourced from Lowe's home improvement store.\nUPDATE: The spring used for the trigger is an Extension Spring-7.14mm x 57.15mm x .065mm model, available in packs of two at Lowe's.\nThe screws used are Pan Head Phillips #4 x 3/8" type, sold in packs of twenty-four at Lowe's.\nA set of six-32nd x 1.25" machine screws with nuts were also sourced from Lowe's, although these are not screen accurate and require an M3 x 1.25" w/nut alternative for authenticity.\nThe battery holder was purchased at Fry's electronics, a comprehensive online retailer.\nViewers are encouraged to share their own print builds by posting pictures, as I would love to see the finished products in action!\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Flash Forge Creator Pro\nRafts: Skirts only\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: Medium to High\nInfill: 45-65%\nNotes: Print speeds on my FF ranged from 30 to 50mms, with most prints using skirt settings and minimal rafts.
