"PICTURES TO COME LATER" "To prevent war, the Galaxy is on Orion's Belt" This model replicates the galaxy prop that hung from Gentle Rosenberg's cat Orion's neck in the original Men in Black movie. Gentle Rosenberg was the Arquillian prince who died early in the movie, leaving behind his cat and the Galaxy of his people. I posted this model before, but some details didn't quite match the actual prop from the movie, so I tried to make it more printer-friendly. The sweeps on the bottom are now stronger for easier printing; the model is split into two pieces for better assembly; and there are two versions: one with a small hole in the top like the movie prop and another with a built-in loop. The latter isn't perfect but it prints and assembles easily, looking almost identical to the original. A separate file includes the galaxy's center, which features extrusions on top and bottom for easy gluing between the halves. With today's varied resins and filaments, someone might choose to print the galaxy in a translucent material instead of using a specific marble size. Happy printing!
