Timing belt cover for when you use a Protege or Escort valve cover. This is also quick to remove if you are using adjustable cam gears. I believe this design is unique. I have not found anything even close to it. The mounting tabs are intentionally high. The idea is to use a double threaded bolt. I am going to make them from all thread, nuts and 262 Loctite. Tighten the bolt to hold the valve cover. Then use a few washers and a rubber grommet as a spacer. The rubber gives it a little flex. Put a nut (or maybe even a wingnut) to hold the top cover down. It is not perfect. I got the original full valve cover file on another site. I heavily modified it to create this. The original Miata cover has a groove in it for the upper lip on the lower cover to fit in. Recreating that groove is above my skill set. So it rests on top. I don't think it really matters. I am attempting to clean up the mesh using Meshmixer. I really have no idea what I am doing! I will post updates if I have any success. I encourage anyone who is not satisfied with my work to remix it themselves. I will look forward to seeing your improvements.
