Miata / Exocet Shift Knob
thingiverse
Humans create objects by printing them in resin using 3D technology. The objects are hollowed out and filled with less expensive materials, such as extra nuts and bolts, which add weight to the object. A cap is then created using the same 3D printing process and attached to the object. To secure the cap, a metal insert is epoxied into place, providing a threaded surface for further customization or attachment of other objects. Some users may choose to leave extra space under the cap to accommodate additional hardware, such as jam nuts.
