Miami is a prominent city in southeastern Florida and serves as the county seat of Miami-Dade County. It ranks as the 42nd largest city in the U.S., with a population of 413,892, making it the most populous metropolis in the Southern United States after Washington, D.C. Miami is a significant hub for finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, arts, and international trade, with downtown Miami and South Florida boasting the largest concentration of U.S. international banks and numerous national and global companies. The Civic Center houses major hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries. For over two decades, the Port of Miami, known as the "Cruise Capital of the World," has been the world's top cruise passenger port. It accommodates large cruise ships and operations, making it the busiest port in terms of passenger traffic and cruise lines. The city is located on a broad plain between the Florida Everglades and Biscayne Bay, with elevation never exceeding 40 feet above sea level. The area along the coastal Miami Rock Ridge has higher undulations, underpinning most of the eastern Miami metropolitan region. Downtown Miami's landscape features several natural and artificial barrier islands, including the largest one containing Miami Beach and South Beach. The Gulf Stream, a warm ocean current, runs 15 miles offshore, maintaining the city's temperate climate throughout the year. A digital model showcases downtown Miami's skyline with numerous famous buildings; all white structures are modeled, while terrain features are represented by texture maps. This model is ideal for distance and overview shots. It consists of approximately 116,714 polygons, built using three-sided polygons without non-planar ones. The buildings are separated into individual and clustered groups, with an accompanying mtl file to colorize the model. Basic UV mapping is included, along with a terrain texture in jpg format. However, the buildings themselves are not textured.
