The Mil Mi-28 (designated "Havoc" by NATO) is a highly advanced Russian attack helicopter designed to operate day and night, even in poor weather conditions. This tandem-seat, two-seat anti-tank combat helicopter serves as a dedicated attack platform with no provision for secondary transport missions, having been optimized specifically for the role. A single gun is mounted under its nose, while external armaments are carried on pylons extending from beneath stub wings.
