I upgraded the stock landing gear to something more durable. My previous experience suggested that the original gear was fragile, but even the sturdier alternative had a tendency to break, particularly during forward flight. I discovered that most of my crashes occurred while flying in this orientation. FPV racing can be unpredictable, and it's not uncommon for pilots to struggle with determining their altitude. As a result, some may find themselves scraping against the ground more frequently than they'd like. In my case, these close calls often resulted in gear failure. Determined to avoid further mishaps, I designed a new landing system that should allow me to glide safely without sacrificing too much durability. My goal was to create something that could withstand occasional hard landings while still providing the necessary protection. The results were encouraging. After printing two of these upgraded parts and assembling them in the center, I put my design to the test during two intense FPV racing sessions. Despite several close calls and a couple of crashes, the landing gear held up remarkably well.
