MHP MkII
thingiverse
The long-awaited version two of the MHP 15 has finally arrived, packed with numerous improvements that take this iconic blaster to new heights. Gone are the days of mere tweaks and adjustments; this remake is a complete overhaul, boasting an array of cutting-edge features. Among these exciting enhancements are: Better ergonomics for enhanced comfort and control Two switch support for customizable gameplay 35mm solenoid compatibility for increased precision A collapsing stock for improved versatility Streamlined mag release for faster reloads Multiple foregrip options to suit any playing style No glue assembly for reduced mess and increased durability With my riot cage and wheels in place, I'm clocking a blistering 125-35 FPS, with no noticeable range loss even at higher fps full-length flywheel blasters. This version relies on stryfe size screws (M2.6 self-tapping) and a few small compression springs for added stability. The auto pusher will likely require washer screws to hold the pusher arm in place, while the iron sights and stock locks utilize filament as pins for their pivot points. A 3/32 pin, half-inch wide, is necessary for the mag release. Adrian Ward's excellent diagram for a selectfire circuit with the solenoid has been included, enabling full and semi-auto firing capabilities. However, this setup requires some expertise and may not be suitable for beginners; it took me three days to wire and countless hours of testing and tuning to get it right. Updates will be posted outside of the zip files, so if you see a new part within, consider using that version instead. I'm also working on making Worker Talon-compatible versions and ultrystryfe versions in the near future. If four-screw posts are your preference, the handle right file has been updated to include this feature, eliminating any previous issues. It's come to my attention that the pusher might not be long enough for daybreak wheels (or possibly eclipse cages as well), so I've added a new pusher zip with an extra tooth on the pinion and room added to the pusher mount. This should resolve the issue and enable smoother operation. Additionally, I've included a slightly more exciting gasblock part for those who appreciate it. In my ongoing quest for perfection, I've added handle parts with built-in pins for the mag release, as well as a tweaked mag release that sits flush with a magazine in place. The print orientation on these handles ensures they're reasonably durable, and a small piece can be printed (in theory) to fit in the mag release if you can't find one of the correct size. Merry holidays! I've added fiber optic-optimized iron sights for those who enjoy this feature. You'll need .08 diameter fiber optics, which should fit snugly, but don't hesitate to reach out if you encounter any issues. A few more enhancements have been made: a trigger and pin to print the blaster sideways, reducing strain on the two-switch trigger; an MP7-style barrel and silencer for added realism; and a 132 motor cover that's a bit chunkier but still looks great. A future upgrade may include a 180 motor cover, but no promises. Lastly, I've included long-awaited Talon files that use a detente, just like the pigeon. While I haven't tested these myself, I'd love to hear your experiences if you decide to print them. It's been brought to my attention that the previous Talon files were outdated; rest assured that this issue has been resolved. If anything seems off or is missing, feel free to leave a comment below.
