mhouse accessories
thingiverse
I was thoroughly exasperated with the standard remote control, which had a tendency to open the gate inside my pocket at random - a design flaw that's utterly bewildering, making the sole purpose of the cover to intentionally obstruct access to the buttons. Another component is the manual lock cover on the motor itself, which proved embarrassingly easy to shatter in the winter (I mean the original plastic piece; this one should offer a bit more durability). While it may not be flawless, it serves my needs adequately. Feel free to revisit and modify it as you see fit. Please let me know if you'd like to share the OpenSCAD source - but I'm sure you won't want to re-render it, trust me (it was hastily designed in five minutes without any optimization, so it takes hours to render). Supports are essential for each piece to print properly (unless you own a printer that's absolutely perfect). With layer heights of 0.08 to 0.12, the result looks quite impressive.
