mh-Filament Guide
thingiverse
This part rests on 2 LM8UU bearings that can slide along an axis aligned precisely with the X-axis. It's engineered for use with 3mm filament and has a notch to hold any filament guide tube with an outer diameter of less than 7mm, though drilling is possible to make it slightly larger. There are holes ready to accept zip-ties to secure the piece on the LM8UU bearings. Use double-sided clamps to create an elevated X-rail above the top of the printer. This part was designed specifically for the Prusa Mendel i2. 3mm filament can snap when the extruder moves too far along the X-axis, so this part's function is to maintain a little flexibility in the filament by keeping the exit part of the guide-tube above the printer. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa Mendel I2 Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Post-Printing: No post-processing is required. No support material is needed.
