This was a project to bolt together components for an installation of a lock-down and pivot bridge system similar to Steinberger's patented R-Trem design using Point Technologies hardware in place of traditional Stratocaster construction methods. Activation of the trem can be achieved through a classic pull-bar system or by physically gripping the tail section. Adjustments to spring tension are made with an adjustable dial located discreetly behind the trem arm itself, while a cam-action/positive locking mechanism secures the entire system in place. Unfortunately, many parts were initially fabricated but ultimately left unconnected due to the abandonment of this innovative design for the hard-tail configuration which ended up getting played on anyway instead of further development/testing.
