A project involved installing a floating, lockable bridge similar to Steinberger R-Trem using Point Technologies components into a Fender Strat body. The trem can be activated by a traditional bar or by grabbing the tail of the trem. Spring tension is adjusted via a knob behind the trem and it has a cam type/positive locking design. Some parts were made, but the project remained incomplete; as it was transformed into a hard-tail guitar instead. Concept tuners, which wouldn't work, and ruler parts for visual alignment checks were also included in this prototype phase; while Steinberger tuners were later fitted on the actual guitar for better functionality.
