MFT router template
thingiverse
Work In Progress - any suggestions, comments etc. are welcome! This is a router template designed specifically for crafting MFT style table tops. The original design inspiration stems from the innovative ideas presented at multifunctionslab.com, where I highly recommend purchasing their plans to show your support. The router jig itself has been influenced by trenddirectuk.com/mft-jig, which showcases a clever approach to reducing the need for large CNC machines. With this template, you can easily route an MFT top and shelf using a laser cutter or smaller CNC machine. Link to Fusion 360 file: https://a360.co/3cDl8GA The dimensions of this template are predominantly parametric, allowing you to customize features such as vacuum slot width. To Do: - Create a jig for the shelf. - Determine whether dog holes should be created with a single 20mm cutter or a 12.7mm bit following a 30mm guide bushing. - Figure out where and how to position the first five alignment pins. - Design and produce alignment pins and dogs (STL files, but these may need to be manufactured in metal or hard plastic for precision). - Decide whether this file should include options to account for laser kerf.
