Mezuzah Case with Squares

Introducing a 3D printed mezuzah case, an accessory that holds a special Hebrew prayer in Jewish homes. The design allows for post-printing painting due to its raised square patterns. DecoColor paint markers work well for this purpose. The creation process involves Groboto for the basic case, Cheetah3D for adding the Hebrew letter "shin" and squares, with a crucial lesson on using boolean tool for combination of additions. ReplicatorG was used to prepare the file, printed with MakerBot Replicator2 and ProtoParadigm PLA at specific settings. A raft with full support was applied, taking less than 2 hours and using 17gms of material (with only 2gms for support structure). Due to its elongated shape, warping was an issue; thus, printing directly on the build plate without blue tape and cooling before removal provided optimal results. Infill percentage is important to strengthen the part and prevent splitting.
