The Metz 45ct flash series, well known for its build quality, can now be mounted onto compact umbrella supports. The latest version includes a tilt clamp to accommodate lamp stands like the Manfrotto 004. Support material has also been added to ensure all parts are securely fastened. To use, choose between the 1.x version for camera tripods with a tapped 1/4" thread or the 2.x version requiring a M6 bolt and nut. Simply slide your flash onto the mount, insert the umbrella into the 8mm hole, and secure with an additional screw. For optimal balance, position the flash with its business end towards the mounting lip and tripod head nearest to the bulb. Don't forget to test the tolerance in the wedge by printing metz_clip_test.scad and adjust spacing variables if needed. Remember, the STL files are just for imaging purposes.
