I got one AA battery holder with my flash gun (Met 45 CL-1) and it was completely busted. Given the price of the original rechargeable holder and the fact that four 18650 batteries can fit in the same spot, it was only a matter of time before I took matters into my own hands. My first design used laser-cut plywood stacked to achieve the desired height. It worked perfectly and I'll be posting the files online soon, but I knew there had to be a better way. So, here's what I came up with. Printed in PLA as part of my first serious PLA print (I've printed with ABS before), I think it looks pretty good. In photos, you'll notice that I still need to add the final contact that connects all four pads on the bottom together. I also threw in a comparison shot with the factory AA holder for six AA batteries and a wooden plug I made for an external 9v power supply. Check out my Fusion 360 project: http://a360.co/2ixn7QX
