Metropolis Brooch
thingiverse
To create a brooch for my wife inspired by a pendant she rarely wears, I modeled a simplified version in Blender with Art Deco-inspired elements. After 3D printing, priming, and painting the brooch white and silver, I attached four gems and a pinback. Although my wife appreciated the effort, she later revealed her fondness for the pendant was solely due to its chain. Encouraged by a coworker's comparison to the movie Metropolis, I named the brooch. Regrettably, I forgot to add an aged effect by applying thinned black paint on the silver part.
