Metronome (Reverted pendulum)
grabcad
Initially designed using Autodesk Inventor 2014 for dynamic simulation, this project centers on gravitational force and spring compression reactions. The equilibrium position is attained when both springs are equally compressed; however, due to a 7° sloped starting point, the movement is inherent. Only base bolt friction (μ=0.1 at R=2) impacts amplitude reduction in final stages. Inventor users can download .iam and .ipt files for experimentation within Dynamic simulation environments. Testing reveals true mechanism functionality. Spring animation, unsuitable for Inventor Studio module, is demonstrated via Dynamic simulation. As an alternative, "Metronome (Reverted Pendulum) with Static Springs" file offers spring calculations through Design Acceleration in each position, though springs remain non-compressible and static. Visualizations are provided by animation created within the Dynamic simulation module. Enjoy exploring!
