Here is a 10m metric track coupon laid on 13 ties. The model, in 1/87th scale is for a 115 mm rail coupon in code 40 from the "Micro Engineering Company" brand. Four alignment points are built into the base. By cutting the tabs, the coupon can be bent to suit. The file is ready to print, there is nothing to add. For decoration, you can "break" the edge of the crosspieces with a thin blade. The grain of the wood is reproduced. To thread the rails onto the coupon, proceed flat and gently... deburr the end of the front rail. You can slip several coupons on a long length of rail to avoid too much connection (I tested with three coupons on one rail).
