Metric tap and die case
thingiverse
This is a remake of alaubham's "Tap / Die Tray for 12 Piece Irwin Hansen Metric Set". I made some key changes to make it more functional, adding small slots that allow easy access to all parts and a cover case to keep everything organized. The cover was printed in PLA and the tray itself in PETG because those were the materials on hand - but I'm not convinced they make much of a difference. The accompanying 2.25" x 4.25" data sheet is really useful, providing drill sizes for metric taps. I gathered this info from engineering tables and rounded it off to make things simpler. Since most users won't have the exact drills recommended, I suggested alternatives that are close but still not likely to be on hand - just do your best without over-drilling the holes.
