Metric Switchable magnet
thingiverse
So I stumbled upon a fascinating YouTube video at https://youtu.be/MptNafdF_q8 featuring a switchable magnet woodworking project, but the dimensions in the video were all listed in imperial units. I decided to take matters into my own hands and created the same design using printable metric sizes. Luckily, I had 10mm magnets lying around my house, so everything scaled up accordingly. To make it easy for others to customize the project, I included the original part file. Non-printable parts: - 1x ferro-magnetic rod measuring 12 millimeters - 1x ferro-magnetic rod measuring 20 millimeters - 12x magnetic cylinders with dimensions of 10 by 10 millimeters - 2x flat head screws with a thickness of 3 millimeters I also needed the following tools: - A metal saw for cutting through various materials - A metal file for smoothing out rough edges - Glue to hold everything together securely
