Metric Drill Bit Stand
thingiverse
Yet another drill bit stand tailored precisely to my needs, boasting 0.5mm increments from 1 to 10mm for optimal versatility. To add an extra layer of visual interest to the printed result, I swap filament colours near the end, ensuring the raised text stands out in a contrasting hue and making it more easily visible. This colour change is effortlessly set up within your slicer software, with PrusaSlicer providing a seamless experience - likely replicated by other slicing programs as well. Upon completion of the print, a modest amount of fine-tuning will be required to perfectly calibrate the hole diameters, guaranteeing a snug fit that meets my specific needs. By carefully adjusting the bit sizes using the stand itself, I can achieve a precise level of tightness or looseness that suits me best. It's essential to remember that over time, drill bit stands can experience slight wear and tear, causing holes to gradually loosen. My personal print was created using PETG 1.75mm filaments in black and red from 3DFillies, with a precise layer height of 0.2mm and 25% infill on my trusty PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.
