METOPE, no. XXXIV
sketchfab
Roman soldier engages in fierce battle against two Dacian warriors, one lying lifeless on the ground, signaling a decisive Roman victory. The victorious Roman is clad in armor, shield firmly in hand and sword at the ready. His adversaries wield curved-bladed swords, their ferocity matched only by the Roman's unyielding resolve. This pivotal clash occurred between 106-109 A.D. The sculpture, crafted from limestone, now resides at the Adamclisi Museum in Adamclisi, Romania.
