Human: Machine to Twist the Strings Usage: 1. Handle 1 controls the four hooks Handle 2 controls the single hook. Handle 1 and handle 2 turn in opposite directions. 1) Make back-and-forth movements with the thread between the four hooks and the opposing hook. Each of the four hooks must have an equal number of outgoing threads (example: two threads per hook). 2) Turn handle 1 until the threads form four tightly wound strands. 3) Turn handle 2 for four turns. 4) Turn handle 1 for one turn. 5) Repeat step 3. Note: The final cord is shorter than the initial threads. Support 2 must therefore be able to slide on support 1 while providing sufficient resistance not to relax the cord during fabrication. Fabrication: Materials: - Four washers with outer diameter 15mm and inner diameter 4mm - Four hooks with diameter 4 mm - One washer with outer diameter 20 mm and inner diameter 8mm - One hook with diameter 8mm - One M8x50 screw + one M8 nut for the handle 1 axle - One M8x50 screw + one M8 butterfly nut to block support 2 with support 3 - Two M8x50 screws for the handles Printing: - Four "Crochet Wheel - Complete" or four "Crochet Wheel - 1-2" and four "Crochet Wheel - 2-2" - Two "Handle Lever" - One "Handle 1" - Twelve "Handle 1 Rivet" - One "Handle 2" - One "Paddle" The supports are to be made of wood (dimensions too large for printing).
