Method Extruder Holder Case v2
thingiverse
This is a case/mount I made that is meant to hold any of the various extruders that are compatible with the Method Platform. Quite a bit of trial and error in this one, but the result is an easy to print uniform looking case that can present and protect spare extruders while they are not in use. There are grooves to help catch the nubs on the extruder and hold it's position. The lock bar in front will help push it into position as it lowers. The extruder's label is presented for easy identification, and the extruder itself is lifted from the bottom to prevent any wear. Four 5x2mm magnets can be added to the lock bar to help it snap into place and remain closed. Four 10x3mm magnets can be added to the sides to allow multiple cases to snap together. There are 3 parts, the base, lid, and a cap to hold the lid in place. It is advised to use breakaway supports for both parts of the hinge.
