METHcore
thingiverse
THIS IS NOT A PRESSURE VESSEL THE ONLY THING HOLING PRESSURE IS THE MASS PRODUCED VALVE This core operates in the same way as Colin's core if a detailed explanation is desired, it can be found in his reedit post. I am friends with him and this core was created alongside his blaster and core. We both began our projects at around the same time based on the same concept. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nerf/comments/gd0g4e/nerf_polarstar_a_fully_3d_printed_200_fps_16_dps/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf To create this core, you will need: 30mm 9/16 brass 100mm 17/32 brass 2 large caliburn o-rings (Dash -123) 1 small caliburn o-ring (Dash -012) 100mm of caliburn plunger tube A 1/8inch npt push connector of your choice A https://www.mcmaster.com/9657K454 spring 7x 2.5mm nuts, preferably these: https://www.mcmaster.com/90592A080 7x 2.5mm screws, preferably these: https://www.mcmaster.com/91430A083 A micro arduino to control the valve A buck converter to power the arduino A mosfet board because you cannot run 12V in the arduino And a solenoid valve I use this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pneumatic-3-Way-Electric-Solenoid-Air-Control-Cylinder-Valve-12V-DC-1-8-Inch/121648669252?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D57476%26meid%3Dc2c5454e5f28400ea8efd1aee03a5cd3%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D233200865609%26itm%3D121648669252&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 Instructions: 1. Place the 9/16 into the breech, glue and flare the brass in place 2. Do the same method for the 17/32 in the plunger. 3. Ensure the 17/32 has been cut on the ram end with a pipe cutter so that it is flared inwards. 4. SuperGlue an o-ring into the groove at the base of the spike. 5. Insert both end caps into caliburn plunger tube material and drill appropriate holes. 6. Counter sink the hole so the caps of the screws sit flush. 7. Install the push connector with teflon tape. 8. Lubricate everything, install the spring, the plunger, and the end caps. 9. Done 10. If you have any questions about the making of this core, please contact me on reddit (u/1megajoey) For wiring, I do not have the ability to create a proper wiring diagram but I have included the code for the arduino that I use. You will need to change the timing because each core has its own friction. Also, I printed all of the parts on my Prusa MK3 so you might experience some tolerance issues.
With this file you will be able to print METHcore with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on METHcore.
