It has been used as a treatment for ADHD, obesity and as a nasal decongestant, but is rarely prescribed due to its addiction potential and the availability of safer drugs with comparable efficacy. Methamphetamine refers to a racemic mixture of two enantiomer forms: levo-methamphetamine (CAS: 33817-09-3) and dextro-methamphetamine (CAS: 537-46-2). Dextromethamphetamine is the stronger CNS stimulant. These molecules are provided in three standard representations and includes a simulated electrostatic (van der Waals) surface.
